About this distribution
Distribution of housing assistance for the victims of Typhoon Karen last October was held on November 24 of this year at the Municipal Disaster Risk Reduction Management Council Office (MDRRMC). The distribution started at 9:00 a.m. and was a half-day activity.
This program was headed and funded by Municipal Mayor Alex Rommel Romano with Nathaniel Ballestar, LDRRMO-II.
The purpose of this program is to support and assist residents who are victims of Typhoon Karen for the improvement and rebuilding of their houses.
An estimated amount of more than 40,000 PHP was allocated for all beneficiaries in the barangays of Lupao, Nueva Ecija, but some applications were disapproved because of lack of information and inappropriate evidence submitted.
Municipal officials and barangay captains supervised personal visitation to verify the information submitted to the local government and to avoid errors and issues.
Barangay San Isidro and Sto. Domingo received the most assistance from the municipality since these had the greatest damaged facilities among all the barangays of Lupao.
